Playing with food is always a big component in our kitchen. We love good tasting, good for you foods. This helps me as an athlete, my kids grow stronger, and my family stay healthy. We enjoy getting creative with fruits and vegetables. A main staple in my diet is a protein shake post-workout. I thought I would share some of our favorites.

My protein shakes are usually on the simpler side. My kids like the ones that taste like cookies or PB and J. I have also added veggies. I am famous for sneaking pureed carrots into things and anything else I can get my hands onto. Butternut squash is lovely too.
In the summer freezing coffee into ice cubes and blending in vanilla protein with coconut extract with vanilla almond milk is awesome. We are dairy free so we often use almond or coconut milk but feel free to sub in milk of choice.
That's my fun spin on protein shakes that work in our kitchen. Enjoy!
