I credit my Christmas socks for keeping me active over the holidays; they make me smile, and put an extra pep in my step :-)
If you don't have magical socks, don't worry, these six tips will keep you active! All kidding aside, it is possible to make (mostly) healthy choices in December, it just takes some mindfulness and advance planning. (For additional tips, read my blog from December 1st).
A lot of people can tell you what to physically do for fitness, but very few can tell you what to mentally do. Kathleen Trotter brilliantly explains a "mental approach" to have success fitness, during a 48-minute interview on Peach Radio . . .
Enjoy the Holidays
Can you believe it, Christmas is literally around the corner. And Christmas means Gingerbread houses, chocolate treats, Christmas drinks and a big yummy meal at the end of it.
It also means a lot of fun with your friends and your family. So if you are wondering my thoughts on how to balance it all with staying healthy and exercising….I say ENJOY IT!
Its about You
Weight loss in my opinion – truly is more of a mind game then a physical one.
I love the holidays. I have over 30 pairs of Christmas socks to prove it. But December isn't all fun, games and socks :-) The holidays can be stressful, especially if you are trying to make healthy choices.
Temptation is everywhere, BUT that doesn't mean you have to totally throw in the health towel! December is not the month to try and lose a significant amount of weight or drastically improve your lifestyle, but you also don't need to gain 10 pounds.
You can maintain your weight, make mostly healthy choices and still enjoy the holidays!
Before I decided I needed to make a change in my life and order the TreadClimber, I would make excuses for all the reasons I 'couldn't do it'
We all have those days where your workouts feel sub par, and you feel
like this Where throughout your whole workout you are struggling to push harder, your tired and you honestly can not wait for it to be over...
For me there are just certain things that I 'need' in order have a great workout:
Good Running Shoes
This is an absolute must. If you are finishing your workout and the bottom of your feet are hurting or are extremely sore, chances are you don't have on proper shoes. For me I really like Asics running shoes but I found they fell apart in the heel quickly.
Thanksgiving: the Fall holiday where you get together with your family and visit, have drinks, and eat a lot of food!
Now, maybe not everyone in the fitness world will agree with me…but I am a firm believer in calories don't count on holidays.
Well, I can say there was no tears and with how cold it was only a bit of sweat, but there sure was a TON of mud!
What an awesome event!! I am just so excited to tell you guys all about it! When I signed up for this mud race Ready to do Anything... Even Mudd!
